Why do we need to study IT?

Why we need to study human anatomy when we draw humans? Also, how do we study human anatomy for drawing humans? I'm just starting out to learn more about human anatomy, because I heard it will be better to learn that in order to draw humans.

I am not getting into the exam mode when everyone is busy preparing. I cannot study at home as I am easily distracted. I work well in other places but my parents think I am using this excuse to go out and play. What do I do! I need to do well!
