Why does people need to study?

People study so they don't make grammatical mistakes when asking questions.

Ahh. I have the same questions as you do.[: But it turned out that my cousin said that those kind of things are used in job interviews so we really should study them even if we hate it.

I'm amazed you do not know all the practical reasons for things you study in school. If you want any kind of job in construction, engineering, maths, etc. equations are very important. Most important is: KNOWLEDGE. Instead of stone, put in the word: truck for example. Then exchange 'throw' for 'drive'. Then you have the equation for fuel mileage. Then add something like, how heavy the truck is, or how much of a load it is carrying. With this info you could see how much your trucking company, for example, should charge its customers to transport loads for them. Critical thinking is important too. The more real history you know, it should be harder for you to fall for the lies that politicians, for example, tell you! Home economics is important. It can help you know the correct or a better way to raise your child when you have one. Etc. Hope this is helpful.

If you know how far a stone will travel that knowledge may improve your future daily life,the more we understand the better our chances are,using the stone as an example we may be able to understand the velocity of a military missile or space projectile,if you studied you would know it's "do" not "does",no offence,lol.

How do you know you will not use it? If you don't set the ground work with these subjects in high school, you will never get an engineer, doctor, pharmacist, software developer. Look farther than your own nose.

because its all about logic...math teaches you logic. and you need logic for any job and your everyday life. if you dont like math, my advice for you is to get it done and over with in highschool so that when you get to college you only have 1 more math class to take...depending on your major ofcourse.

No knowledge is ever useless. Only wisdom when not taken care of properly is chaotic.

The reason we learn these things is that they help is to think things through in a logical way ... and sometimes later on in life knowing how to do these things can come in handy. You'd be surprised how many times I've had to use my high school algebra in my life (I am 67).

Why do people need to study? Physics, higher level Math, Chemistry and other totally boring subjects, in my opinion, were worthless.... BUT....looking back, I don't think that I would be able to figure out other things in life without these courses. I can't prove my theory, but I suspect, every class that I took, made me a more well-rounded person. And, it's really nice to have a general idea as to what people are talking about in any situation.
