why do we need to study chmistry?

Answer:
Basically, we need to study chemistry in order to understand the interactions of substances with each other in the world. There are endless applications to chemistry. For example a battery works because of an oxidation-reduction reaction. Drugs like aspirin and penicillin are synthesized by organic chemists. To go even further it takes an organic chemist to understand the workings of many of these drugs because certain effects at the molecular level, like resonance, basicity, or inductive effect, are what causes the molecule to be useful as a drug. Chemistry teaches you that if you mix bleach with ammonia you can die (when an alkyl chloride (bleach) reacts with ammonia, poisonous ammonium chloride is formed).
