How to type Chinese in my computer?

I don't know how we can type a Chinese character into the computer. As fas as I know, it has many strokes. So how can we combine the strokes to make a character?

You know how there's so many different language options of Chinese traditional that you can install onto your computer? (i.e. New Quick, New Phonetic, Phonetic, etc.) but I can't seem to find the one that I can type Chinese with pinyin. Can anyone help...
