How to get scanner to work?

i have a xerox workcentre xk35c model. and i cant figure out how to get my scanner on it to work. it is a printer/scanner. i have downloaded the TWAIN driver for it but it still wont work.

dont have $ to buy new scanner,mine has been used only few times, ebay no listings for cd,where get one?do I have to have cd if I previously used it?

my kodak easyshare scanner will not scan. all the drivers seem to be updated. how can i get my scanner to work?

I can get the printer to work by using the 64 bit Vista driver but the driver for the scanner won't install...not compatible with the architecture...and Epson do not have the scanner driver for Windows 7.
