How to fix yahoo messanger?

I am trying to message my friends and I can not see any of our conversations on yahoo messanger. It looks like they are going to my archives. How can I fix this so I can see what people are writing when they instant message me?

for example I press button on top of my messenger to automatically link to me yahoo web site.Always pop up with internet explorer but now it doesn't work .I reinstall my messenger but it doesn`t work either

The window does not respond, nor do any of the buttons on messanger itself. The IM Contact windows partially appear and do not always show dialogue, or I can resize them and they appear, but do eventually stop responding as well. I have to restart often...

Using messanger version 8.1

I've used my yahoo messenger before quiet a few times but all of a sudden it won't let me in some security thing or something. Can some one help me figure it out?

when trying to use my webcam in yahoo it gives me this message that say webcam doesnt support the required picture size and when the box comes up where you are suppose to see the cam pic it says not connected but it is.
