I can not see any messages sent to me or anything that I send out on my yahoo messanger...how do I fix this?

I am trying to message my friends and I can not see any of our conversations on yahoo messanger. It looks like they are going to my archives. How can I fix this so I can see what people are writing when they instant message me?
Answer:

double click on a friends abatar and go to edit and then previous messages.hope that helps

go to your preference and check to make sure you have the option to save your conversations in your archive and make sure you have you archive enabled
