What are good strings?

I've been using Luxilon big banger Alu power strings for nearly a year now. THat's the longest i've ever played with one kind of string. But I've been breaking more and more probably due to the cold weather and more power I'm getting. The Luxilon strings...

I'm looking for a good combination of strings that will have an amazing sound for orchestral playing and solo playing together. I really don't feel like buying different sets of strings for solo and orchestral playing, but if you have good suggestions...

i have a squier strat. i play punk, ska and metal. i usually get Ernie Ball super slinky or D'Addario light strings. what do you play and what do you like? just curious on some new strings.

This is my first time buying strings for my guitar and I needed some help. I want 2 sets of medium gauge strings but I don't know what brand is better and lasts longer.

I play metal, and i play at least an hour everyday, and i want strings that will last for a while. At least more that 3 months. What strings should i get?
