What are good strings?

What's a good substitute for Luxilon Strings?

  • I've been using Luxilon big banger Alu power strings for nearly a year now. THat's the longest i've ever played with one kind of string. But I've been breaking more and more probably due to the cold weather and more power I'm getting. The Luxilon strings are pretty expensive too so is there a good substitute I can use in place of them? I don't really like to change strings but it would save me alot of money if I found a new string that's almost the same as Luxilons, but cheaper. Thanks!

if you dont want to break strings as fast, just get thicker strings, with a gauge of 15 or 16. and strings don't "break faster" because of power, its because of the high velocity of topspin that keeps brushing on the strings.
