How long to season a humidor?

When does the NBA season start and end (months)? When does the NFL season start and end (months)?

cigars for my boyfriend and we are waiting on his humidor... has yet to arrive. Worried! Thanks in advance for your help.

I have read that cigars only get better with age...is this true? I really like Tatyana Vanilla and am interested in purchasing a personal humidor to keep some in for special occasions. If anyone has any recommendations or information, I am very interested...

...Also what would you recocommend if I don't plan on smoking some for a few months: taking the cigars out of their wrappers and into a humidor; with the wrapper in the humidor; or just leave in the wrapper?

My humidor has small container with florist foam which is soaked, but I still have to put a sponge in the humidor and I have not been able to get the humidity above 65%. I did season it by wiping it with a damp sponge. Any suggestions?
