How do i remove, edit an answer to a question?

a question i asked about solar energy someone else answered in the worst way and someone else voted that worst answer as the best answer. It is definately the wrong answer to my question. They closed the question to new answers.

If an answer or question is posted twice and you catch it in time to edit it, would you rather see the duplicated answer left there or see a simple 'duplicate deleted', since we can't remove a question or answer once its been posted?

When a question has lots of answers and the user has already answered it, why is the message "You may, however, edit your existing answer" not a link to the user's answer?

If there are 50 or 100 or 200 answers to a question it can be a bear to find mine. Is there some reason that the phrase "You may, however, edit your existing answer" can't be a link that takes me directly to my own answer?
