How do you open a coconut?

I have this coconut monkey bank that a friend gave me and i was wondering if anyone has one of these and if they know how to open one or if it like a piggy bank and i have to smash it which would be hard since it is made out of coconut.

The goal is to use the coconut meat inside for snacking. Do I need a power tool for this? Please share your secrets... This is the first time I've ever bought a real coconut.

Okay, if you had no tools, nothing what so ever except the rocks and trees and whatnot on the island, ow would you crack open the coconut without losing all of the milk?
