Are GCSE Languages Hard?

I really enjoy languages and I am in top set for both French and German as my teachers say that I am a talented linguist. I'd love to take both languages at GCSE but I am slightly worried I would get confused. I am willing to put in lots of hard work...

to get dual languages, do you have to take up your option - the option where you can choose of all different things like Business studies, and that long list ?

In language exams (such as latin and german), I find it easier writing out the main verb and noun endings as soon as I start the exam, as this helps with translating more accurately. Is this acceptable or will I lose marks for doing this? Thanks in advance...
