Are GCSE Languages Hard?

Does anybody know how to get a B-A* in english languages GCSE?

1) Capital letters 2) Sentences 3) Grammar ("we recently done"???) You won't get higher than a D until your basic writing is above 10 year old level. I have no idea why your teacher would not have told you this. Sorry.

Wow an A in Lit is really excellent well done you are soo lucky but the D well.... you can improve and get a C by checking your spellings, proof reading your work, ask your teacher for extra help and use punctuation properly and keep reading it helps!

errm well i'm in the same situation and have my test in january has your teacher not gave you any sheets or booklets that you can have, i have one and it says to get an A-B is to include originality and your own ideas into the text, always refer back to the question that is being asked and always include context and things that had happened in that era, well as you said you want to take it for a level it wont really affect you as A levels you all the way down to a G and even if you get a C you apparently only drop a grade so that would mean that you will get a D i really hope that this halps claire

I don't see why everyone is being so rude, half the time people don't bother writing correctly with these kinds of things, doesn't mean she sits down and writes her essays like that! As someone else has already mentioned, originality will seriously bump your marks up; think of the most obvious answer to a question and head in the opposite direction. I would also recommend going to somewhere like Waterstones - they have plenty of revision guides.

To start with did you know that the word I should be in capitals? Basic spelling grammar and punctuation are worth 3 marks if I remember.
