Any tips for studying abroad?

I'm a freshman in high school, and have a deep interest for studying abroad for a semester in college. (Preferably Amsterdam or Italy). I enjoy being ahead of the game, so do you guys have any tips for me that will boost my chances for fulfilling my dream? :) I'm considering taking courses for business. Are there any classes/activities I should take? Please guys, I will take any serious advice into consideration! :)
