Any tips on studying abroad in Florence?

Studying abroad, any tips?

  • I'm studying abroad in Barcelona Spain from February to May the upcoming year with my best friend/roommate. I've heard some positive, some negative things; so i wanted to know what other people who have been to Barcelona have to say about it. What are the dangers? Any important tips to follow? Hows the language barrier? Anything will help :) Thanks!

  • Answer:

Spain is such a wonderful country, I go back there as much as I can. That being said, Barcelona is a big city so you must be wary of the same things as other big cities. Spaniards are very friendly and have an intense joy for life that will suck you in. I would say watch out for the Italian and Greek men who are traveling there since they are very very forward and aggressive! (I say this from my personal experience, my sister's and my mom's.... they are VERY aggressive). You will need to know your spanish but if you get stuck I am sure you will find someone who speaks at least a little english and can give you some help (however it is really important to know your spanish). Have fun! And go to Majorca if you can and down along the east coast :)
