Do you know any way to get credit report online?

Getting negative item off of credit report????????

• I have a negative item on my credit report. I signed up to pay my credit card bill online. What I didn't realize is that the payment wasn't going through. I had changed my address and the credit card company couldn't send me a statement or notice. I didn't realize I was two months behind on my payments until I got a call from the credit union I used to get the credit card. What I don't understand is why they didn't call me sooner though. I know I changed my address but they still had my phone number. I had this credit card for 21 years and never was late. But they still put it on my credit report. How long will it effect my credit score. And is there anything I can do to change it. By the way, I paid this card off about a month ago.Would it do any good to call the credit card company and talk to them? How hard is it to get this negative report off of my credit report? thanx

  Negative items stay on your report for 7 years. I would start talking to the credit union to see if they are willing to take back the information that they submitted to the credit bureaus. Have them write a letter of some sort. Then take it to the bureaus. A lot of them allow you to dispute online but without the credit union saying that they will remove it I doubt that it will be taken off.
