What printer is the most ink efficient?

I bought a Epson R2880 and i had to immedietly return it, it was a ink guzzler! I put in all new ink printed like 3 high quality 8x10 and some of the inks were already half way empty! Plus it even ended up rejecting one of it's own epson black inks,...

I tried the Lexmark Pro 901 because of their low cost black ink....it turns out that the printer not only makes you buy color ink all the time, the print head will go bad often...which costs 50.00 to buy. So not only did I have to buy all three ink wells...

so i refilled my ink for my canon mp220 printer - printer and computer did not detect the ink as being full. went back to the guy and told him that the computer is not detecting the catridge as having ink - refilled it for me and over fills the colour...
