It seems like a large majority of the searches I do on google return Amazon in the top 2 organic links. What does this mean for the user? and for google?

I guess there's no official number but it seems like there should at least be some kind of estimate. So can anybody point me towards a source that gives the total number of google searches that have ever been performed? I can't seem to find much.
