What is the total number of google searches?

I guess there's no official number but it seems like there should at least be some kind of estimate. So can anybody point me towards a source that gives the total number of google searches that have ever been performed? I can't seem to find much.

There have been hundreds of billions of search queries, if not close to a few trillion search queries, and they were averaging about 2 billion search queries per day in 2008.
