The only way i know is paying for advertising on google. You can tell them what type of product/company you are advertising and they can have a link post up on top of any related searches.

It all depends on how much traffic you get to your site, it doesnt matter about competition, just focus on creating a site that will appeal to people in a way that they will still want to go back for more, more than the other sites, which you said were low.
