Is the IB Diploma Program worth it?

By March 1st, I have to make a decision on whether to go into a "first choice" science program which is basically an enriched curriculum with a few seminars here and there or the IB science program. I was just wondering if some people could give me an honest opinion on the IB program. I've researched it and i'm still not sure. Is it a lot more work? Does it really stressful? Is it really worthwhile in the long run? thx =]
