How to gain more work experience?

I've only worked at a hair salon, but it went out of business. I tried in several others and I wouldn't get hired because I had little experience. So I gave up on the beauty salon stuff and now I keep applying in stores, restaurants, malls, wherever...

Where and how can I gain hands-on work experience as a share point administrator in the UK, and gradually move into share point implementation..... I'm really curious and ready to attend courses and obtain the needed certifications and move to the next...

I have recently had my CV (resume) done professionally and have applied for a few jobs but no takers. I would love to go there to look for work but visa problems there. Not sure what to do next.
