How come you eat a 2000 calorie meal in one sitting but yet you're still hungry later?

How come you can eat your daily caloric intake in one meal (i.e. a Carl's Jr Six Dollar Burger with Bacon, fries with ranch and a 32 oz coke) but still get hungry later? Once your body gets all the calories in one day, why is it still hungry later?
