How come occasionally ill be sitting?

How do i get a "broody/clucky" chicken to stop sitting on eggs and come out of the coop?

• Hi...I have a young Bantam hen who has just started laying a little while ago... problem is she has gone broody and will not come off the nest...I have bought her 2 plastic eggs to keep her happy buit she will not move and has stopped laying her own eggs...any help would be appreciated...thanks everyone!!

  Its really hard to get her to stop, she is more than likely to just sit on her eggs until they hatch...even if they don't hatch. How about you let her hatch a few chicks? Maybe buy a few fertile eggs from a local chicken keeper or borrow a rooster for a little while, unless you already have one, then you'll want to place some eggs under her. To have prevented it you would have needed to collect eggs as they were layed...but now its a little too late, a hormone is in her head, telling the little bantam hen to hatch chickadees.
