Need to know math for programming?

Hey, I'm really interested in programming. I already know some html, php, mysql & css. But now i want to go on with C++ But the problem is, some people say that i need to know math for this? And i don't know anything about math cause they didnt teach me that in school. So my question is, do you need to know math if you want to be a programmer?
