Are allergy eye drops bad for you?

I need some good allergy eye drops. I have tried Visine and Clear eyes allergy drops, but they only make my eyes itch worse. My eyes are so itchy that I have to rinse my eyeballs with water several times daily, and wake up at night sometimes to do it...
