How do you get stars on Yahoo Answers?

THE USE OF STARS 1. When you star a question, it means that for you, the question is interesting. 2. When you have a lot of stars, it means that your questions are interesting. 3. If you have fans (people that added you as a contact), they will see your starred questions, and therefore, has a chance to answer the question that you starred. They will see it on "My Network's Q&A" at the home page or at their profile page. HOW TO STAR A QUESTION 1. On the home page or on a category page, you may click the blue, inactive star under each question. 2. You may also click the blue, inactive star on the question page, beside "Interesting!". 3. Once you click it, it will turn into a yellow, active star. HOW TO "UN-STAR" A STARRED QUESTION - Click the yellow, active star. It will come back to a blue, inactive star. Note: Stars have no equivalent points.

It seems stars were originally meant to be given by Yahoo! Answers users to mark a question as interesting and to give ones contacts the opportunity to see, view and or answer the question. However, if you haven't already noticed, it is most common that stars are often used by people who "game" Yahoo! answers - many if not most people will star a question, not because of the question itself but because a contact is a fellow "gamer". I have seen people get anywhere from 5-20 stars, not because the question was interesting or challenging, but because of the person who asked it - the same people usually get multiple stars because they are popular people in the category - thus, people are in a sense really starring other people and not the questions; actually most questions that get multiple stars I have found to be the worst ones or simply "gaming" type questions used by people to elevate their accounts.
