Your machine is infected. Pop-ups are mostly caused by adware, spyware, and other malicious and unwanted software and using pop-up blocker won't help an infected PC. Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware are the best anti-spyware applications available (you can have more than one). Other free anti-spyware programs would be Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware, AVG Anti-spyware (formally Ewido), A-squared, Spyware Terminator and SpywareBlaster. If you do not have an updated anti-virus program always running, you need to get one. Install only one, but you can get AVG, Avast! or AntiVir for free. Running virus removal programs in Safe Mode (tap F8 as the computer boots up and choose to boot to safe mode) can be more effective. The idea behind the Safe Mode is that the operating system would only load your essential programs and drivers to the memory and hence there is a “high” chance that the virus-infected file is on the drive but not loaded into memory. I strongly recommend using FireFox, it's a far better and safer alternative to Internet Explorer. If you add-on McAfee SiteAdvisor, it will warn you of potentially harmful sites. I also recommend CCleaner which is a free system optimization and privacy tool.

Unlike typical pop-up ads (stopped with available blockers), 3rd party cookies are entirely different critters. When PC's (personal confusers) misbehave, like pop-up's, going to unrequested sites, goofy warnings, etc.; one step to help reduce annoying pop-ups & unrequested websites from being displayed on your machine is to turn off 3rd party cookies, and always leave them off. **************** INTERNET EXPLORER: Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check 'Override automatic....'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies'; & 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'. FIREFOX: Tools> Options> Privacy: here UN-CHECK 'Accept 3rd Party cookies' **************** Because architecture of the Internet (notably 'Flash' scripting), vulnerabilities are readily exploited in Internet Explorer, & it is now urgent that you use Firefox with 'NoScript' add-on, which will prevent "Click-jacking'. NoScript: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 Note: Some current 'rouge' malware will undo this change, so you might have to redo this step after malware has been eliminated. Then, you'll have to ERADICATE MALWARE with Spybot, Ad Aware, and all available trusted cleaners & Anti-virus software. For nearly ad-free pages when surfing; use Firefox with these add-ons: Flashblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433 Add block plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 Source: http://hackademix.net/2008/09/27/clickjacking-and-noscript

Turn on your pop-up blocker, and if the sites keep coming up, press "block site" when one comes up. This way, there are less possible sites that can pop up.

I think you have adware installed on your computer. Download Windows Defender if you have windows and perform a system scan.
