Why Do Cinema Screens Curve?

Why Do Cinema Screens Curve?

  • And also do you prefer curved or flat projection screens? 2nd question is: I want to play PC games on my nvidia SLI (3 graphics cards) GTX 480 graphics cards and I want to join 4 projectors together, 2 on the bottom half of the screen and 2 on the top half of the screen so all together I will have a 4320p resolution witch will be ideal for nvidia 3D Vision in that ultra bright and 4k resolution, by the way I mean I want to separate each projector to a quarter of my 100" screen and I will join each projected image together to make 1 high rez image, each one of the 4 projectors will be connected via DVI cable to my PC with 3 nvidia 480 graphics cards. However when you join 2 or more projectors together it causes a bright crease between the 4 joined images on the screen. so how do I fix this so there is not a crease or so I can't see the crease? THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS EVERYONE :-)

  • Answer:

That's way to complex a system and playing games on a 100" screen means you will have to be about 20 feet from the screen to be able to see everything at once, at that distance any gains in resolution will be cancelled out by size, better to get a really good 48" LCD TV and connect up at 1080i, Oh and cinema screens are curved so that they appear square when you sit in the centre of the auditorium.
