Why does my cursor jump around?

Why does my cursor jump around and do whatever it wants to?

  • I have a Lenovo ideapad that I just got about 4 months ago and I'm using a wireless optical mouse. I have Window's 7. I can't seem to figure out how to get the cursor under control. I have changed the speed and use a mouse pad. The cursor will jump around smack in the middle of my typing and sometimes wipes out an entire paragraph or page I just typed. Thankfully, I can press Ctl Z and get it all back but its really getting annoying. I'll be typing away and find out the cursor jumped up about 7 sentences and stuck what I'm typing in the middle of a word. Please make it stop before I have to start taking Prozac! (in other words, its making me crazy - it did it twice while I was writing this!)

  • Answer:

Hi again.. I was having the same problem and it was driving me insane! EASY 20 second fix. TouchFreeze Disables Your Touchpad As Soon As You Start Typing Google "TouchFreeze", then download it. It automatically disengages your pad when you are typing, as soon as you stop typing you can use the touch pad again. Takes a few seconds to download, and set-up is automatic.
