How to tone thighs and calves?

  • I'm trying to slim my body down and I've heard that if I've got more muscles, my body will burn fat more fast, is this true?. So I was wondering how I would be able to tone my thighs and calves and grow muscle there. And which muscles in the body would be the easiest to grow? As I'm slightly overweight and I've adjusted my foods that I eat to maintain a healthier diet. So to sum up, how would I build more muscle, I know I could do weights at the gym but I'm only there thrice a week and I'd like to know if there are any home exercises. And last question will walking help build muscles in my thighs and calves as I love walking and I believe that it's the easiest exercised to do. Thanks in advance.

    Okay to answer your questions first to tone any part of your body you need to do light weight lots of reps. For your thighs I would recommend doing lunges with 2-5 lbs weight in your hand, you can also do squat's. Drink lots of water and eat healthy
