I waited for holiday deals to kick in and purchased this for great price on Amazon. But that really isn't the point of my review. A few things I like about this product: 1- it talks to my TV! This was totally unexpected as I went to watch my first movie and everything kicked in on its own. TV changed inputs, surround sound kicked in and the TV volume went to mute. I can't tell you how many times I've had to get off the couch to lower the volume by hand with my old system. Awesome feature! 2- Blu-ray player. This is my first Blu-ray experience and I am not disappointed. I love the beautiful images and all of the extra on-screen, in-movie features available. 3- Great Sound. I was amazed at how small of the speakers were but how much of punch they made collectively as a unit. The sub-woofer is so small it fits in my bookshelf-out of the way, but still packs a resounding boom that can be felt throughout the whole house. 4-Plays FM radio. You only need the one HDMI cable (make sure it is the latest ver that supports ethernet) to the set to receive audio from other sources on the TV. Make sure you enable ARC. Shortly after install the sub-woofer began booming when stations were changed. I called Panasonic several times and one tech told me that it was normal... NORMAL!!! it scares the tar out of us everytime this happens and it is happening more and more. After 4 calls to Panasonic I give up. They blamed my cable company and of course the cable company says they have nothing to do with the system and I am inclined to believe that. Do not buy this system unless you like cannon fire cause that what it sounds like. I only hope that we can return this to Amazon and go back to a Sony which we had before.
