Employee benefits at AT&T?

If an employee who lied on initial app retired from job can he lose benefits.?

  • If an employee who lied on initial application worked state job and retired would said employee lose retirement benefits if state found out employee lied on initial app?

  • Answer:

no, he still put the time in and is entitled to his retirement. no one is going to go through the trouble to investigate something so trivial, they don't like investigating one of their own for something like this.

The answer would depend on your state, and other things we don't know. I suggest you contact an attorney, the first visit should be free, and see what he says...or you can wait and see. Since your lie was not discovered while you worked there, I think it might be safe to say that there would be no reason for them to check your references now, but again we don't know the process your state uses to determine retirement benefits. Good Luck!

Short answer is YES, he may lose his benefits, as he was never entitled to them in the first place.
