    Your metabolism is influenced by three things - Exercise, digestion and energy used in normal body functions. Increasing your metabolism from exercise is pretty self explanatory. Exercise uses up energy and raises your metabolic requirements. To increase your metabolism from food, split your meals into 6 or 7 times a day and ensure you include a protein in each meal. This is called the thermic affect of food and your body burns up more energy digesting. Lastly your normal body functions - this is called rmr or resting metabolic rate. You can influence it by doing anaerobic types of training like interval training or hiit. This training taps energy from your muscles called glycogen. Your body spends hours replacing this and needs energy to do this, so your rmr is raised from 24 to 40 hours after your training. Long term increases in your metabolism can also be created with interval training and resistance training. Bigger muscles help and interval training creates adaptations to your body where it will rather send energy to be burnt up by your muscles rather than stored in your fat cells

you have to do more and more exercise every day. your metabolism slows down naturally as you get older, so if you want to keep it at a high level, you have to keep yourself active, but keep doing more and more each day. you know you love me. xoxo, gossip girl ;)

Eat 6 small meals daily, exercise 2-4 times a week, and drink lemon water before you eat anything in the morning. The lemon water will stay in your system throughout the day and eat the fat that you consume. :)

it's a genetic feature. it is fixed. but im lucky. my metabolism is very fast, a little to fast. so unfortunalitly i have been put on a diet for very fatty foods.. (and im still skinny)

the only way to increase your metabolism is to increase muscle mass/%. so yes your eating many small meals does help keep your sugar up (which helps when you exercise alot) but you really need to start exercising ALOT if you want to increase your metabolism (i'd recommend competitve swimming, dance, or any fun looking random class at your local YMCA)
