Stress isn't all that bad. The stress of not having water develops over a period of time with the result being that you drink as you need it. The stress of finding yourself in front of an oncoming car causes you to act. Surpressing the stress caused by work or relationships can work for awhile but the stress keeps coming back. So... to relate to your stress, you should identify it as best you can. Is it water that you need, jumping out from the path of a car, or that *ss at work that does as little as possible while the work stacks up on you, or is it the annoying habit of someone of the opposite sex? After you idenitify it, make a list of all the things you could possibly do. You can include quiting your job or punching the coworker out (if it makes you feel better) but when you are finished with the list you will want to go back over it and cross that sort of thing out. The last coping part is to set a time for that action. For example, Friday morning at 9:00 AM make an appointment with your boss. This has to be a DECISION that you will follow up on, but curiously as soon as the decision is made and the time is set THE STRESS GOES AWAY. I don't know why this happens. You would think that actually doing the thing, like drinking the water would relieve the stress. Good luck with your tunes though.

I like crazyarsedfly's idea of singing along with music! That does always make us feel better, doesn't it? I find it helps to get out of your rut. If you just sit at home and feel sorry for yourself you'll never get out of it. Get outside, do new things, go new places, meet new people. There is a component of depression that is just loneliness. There are a lot of techniques for relieving stress. The Internet is full of them. There are exercises and stretching, meditation and other 'mind control' techniques, etc. There are books that present 20 or 30 different things. You just need to try a few to see what's right for you.

Drugs and therapy. Doesn't always help though. Still feel like life is a constant struggle and some days take all my strength just to get through.
