How do you relieve stress?

How do you personally relieve stress ?

  • Hey, Whenever i am stressed or feeling down, i paint. It helps me unwind, relax and even think better which helps me make better decisions. My mom cooks when she's stressed, she says it helps her zone out and forget about all the problems in the world. That made me wonder about the very nature of stress and how we each as individual human beings deal with it. Some people go for a walk, some people sing and some even just cry as a relief mechanism . So, how do YOU personally relieve stress? Thank you for you time cheers

    I used to self harm by burning my skin, which, as stupid as it sounds, does actually give you a little grip. Even just pinching your skin. As of late, I've just been listening to music. I've been really stressed with family issues, and I've found putting in my headphones really helps. I've always been one to eavesdrop when my family spoke about bad news, because I didn't want to feel out of the loop. But I realized that ignorance really is bliss, and that I was 1000x happier when I didn't know these things I was listening into. Last night when my brother was in his room throwing a fit, breaking things, and yelling about whatever the hell made him cry this time, I just put in my headphones instead of going in and talking to him like I usually do. In the end, I just end up so upset, and cry myself to sleep. I'm sort of proud of myself for drowning out my mind. Exercising helps me too, like running and running and running until you don't know you're running anymore, and it's like you're the only person in the entire world. When I want to feel like the only person in the world, I put on songs like "Maintenance Hall, 4am" by Stars. It's a rather trippy experience.

Hi, for me usually when i feel stress, i will put aside all the stuff that i'm dealing with. Listen to some music to listen, lay down on my bed, close my eye and relax my mind. Or i will look for friend who stay nearby, out for a drink and chat on anything that of our interest, with that i will forget about the things that really stress me out. Regards Gareth
