How to tone and lessen muscular calves ?

I'm 15 about 5"4 and I have no stomach but big thighs and calves. I want to loose weight because as of now I have gained weight. but if I start running won't I first loose my Calve fat and then make them muscular ? I don't want muscular calves because I'm short and I will always have big calves because that my body type (curves). so what do I do to loose weight in my leg area but not have muscular calves ??? Run, walk ???

my advice, run up and down steps... if you have bleachers at your school, run up the flights of stairs there 5 times around 2-3 times a week. Also what helps is on a step, put the forward part of your feet on the edge, and lift up with your heels, do that for 10 reps 3 times(sets) each day...it also increases your circulation and heart health :) Since blood clots do form in the legs. I do this before i go to sleep too, helps. Good luck!

i have the exact same problems as you. im 15 5'4 or 5'5 and ive always had a big butt and legs. ive recently started working out by using the elliptical machine and walking but i know it takes a while to get rid of stored fat.. just try eating healthy and exercising 3 to 5 times a week and in some time you will lose some fat(: good luck(:
