Kissing someone who is not your boyfriend?

  • I asked a question earlier and a lot of people made me feel pretty bad (I probably deserved it) about myself saying I was a slut.... So I deleted it because I feel like I didn't really explain myself well enough. I don't know why i keep using this website because every time I do someone doesn't understand the question and decides to call me names instead of helping me. But hey, that's the internet for you. Haha :) My question now is do you think kissing someone without having plans on being in a relationship with them is bad? He's one of my closest friends and I feel like it will probably be a one time thing... And I am NOT going to let myself go further than I am comfortable with. I'M STILL A VIRGIN btw (there was some confusion in the last question) I feel like if I don't go further than kissing it won't be such a big deal. Now this is the part where I'm probably gonna get a lot of sh*t for. I'm 14. Okay... I'll prepare myself for some negative comments. I'll probably end up deleting this too and just do what I think is right without the help of the internet. I just hope there is someone out there who is willing to actually give me advice without trying to make me feel bad in the process...

    I will be that one person who doesn't give ya crap. Kissing is FUN! There is nothing wrong with that at all! And the great thing about you is you are a virgin and you plan to keep it that way until you are ready. Life is about experiencing things and living. Humans do these things! There is nothing wrong with this. I am 23 and have kissed (and only kissed, nothing further) lots of people at parties for fun. I have only gone all the way with people I have been with. And now I am married and faithful and what not. What you want to do, there is seriously nothing wrong with. Ignore the people that give you crap and have fun in life. Live, do what you want. Take care, have fun and be safe!

I wouldn't do it. I kissed a boy I like who wasn't my boyfriend and now we don't talk. I feel as if kissing the person signifies as fast moving relationship, and a guy can get uncomfortable with that.

Its not bad kissing someone without having feelings or being in a relationship. Your not a slut. Your only a slut if you do it with many guys. But its not a big deal in this case.

You are so right to set boundaries for yourself. Never let anyone pressure you into having sex or doing things that you aren't comfortable with. It's your body and your life and you will have to deal with any consequences. Generally speaking I think it's fine to kiss someone without intending it to go any further. Just make sure you tell him your intentions. Don't let him think that you are planning to date him if you really aren't. That's not very fair to him. As far as your age goes, sure you're young. I personally would wait to start kissing and dating until age 16. Well, actually I did wait until age 17-18 ish. There will be plenty of time for kissing later. Enjoy your youth. You only get to live it once. Now that I'm not a teenager anymore I wish I could go back and just have some innocent fun as a kid. Those are some of the greatest times of my life. PS When you get older and start dating guys more seriously, a CB-6000 is your best friend when it comes to keeping them in line.

It's not always a bad thing . In fact in not even a bad thing it's more of a got caught up in a moment . Sometimes it's good cause they realize they had some feelings for you , but it's not always the case. Wait it out is what I'd do. something similar happened with my mate she's is only 13 this is probably worse than your situation well this kid who she was kissing was in a relationship with 5 other girls and he had got 2 previously pregnant and one had just given birth, one day one Facebook he asked her if he could see her body this is where my friend stopped it so i think as long as you are careful and remember the risks you will be fine so don't worry if you both enjoy it carry on but don't let him take advantage of you or do anything stupid hope this helps
