How do I add an attachment to a post?

  • I'm a new yahoo group admin. How do I attach a digital photo or attachment of any kind to an email? I've made sure from the admin side that its allowed but I see no way to attach anything when I post. I know I could put them in the files but . . . Also I've tried to send an email directly from my home account (with an attachment) to the group but it won't let it through. Thanks

  • Answer:

    You can't ever send it by posting from the group web site. You would send it attached to a regular email to the group address (XXX=exact group name): [email protected] IF the group permits attachments, members who receive individual emails ONLY will receive the attachment. Members who receive the Digest or read at the web site are out of luck. Hope that helps!

Basically you can't attach anything if you're posting on the Yahoo! Groups page. You can email it though but it doesn't get saved on Yahoo! Groups which is why you don't see it. However, it reaches every member of the group.
