Why can't I upgrade msn?

i have the old version of msn and i just got a virus so i had to have the computer wiped, now we have an antivirus program, im wondering if this is the problem?

upon upgrading im told that my system(windows 95) cant handle the upgrade and installation is aborted. so what am i supposed to do to be able to use msn on my version of windows?

as some of u may know, msn messenger has been forcing us to upgrade, and it wont let us sign in and use it till we do. thats all fine and dandy but everytime i try, it goes to a 71% then says there is an error and it cant access network location %APPDATA...

What msn messenger is it that you can put colour in your name ? i got back fromm holiday and there was an upgrade and it wont let me see the colours in my friends names and i cant ...show more
