Where do i find my incoming and out going server information?

For three weeks, using two different POP email clients (Mozilla Thunderbird and Evolution) on two different operating systems (Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux), I get occasional "-ERR internal server error (6532)" errors asking for my password again...
