Recording with a Camcorder onto your PC?

I've got an old Panasonic AFx8 Omnimovie VHS camcorder, and since VHS is outdated and obsolete, I'd like to know if there is a way to convert it to DV or at least get recordings onto a pc. The power charger does include white and yellow audio/video connectors...
