Logitech quick cam?

I installed my logitech quick cam on to my new laptop. My laptop runs on vista. I can use it on msn etc, but it wont let me open the window where i am able to take pictures and record videos...why wont it let me. It told me to re-install it, so i did...

After installing the software that came with the cam, and connecting it to the computer all I get is a grey screen. Ideas?

Old logitech webcam worked with Dell laptop. Plugged new logitech quickcam fusion in.....it works fine with logitech software displaying good image. Tried it with Yahoo Messenger and it displays black image. Camera source is USB video. Any ideas?
