Logitech quick cam trouble?

  • I installed my logitech quick cam on to my new laptop. My laptop runs on vista. I can use it on msn etc, but it wont let me open the window where i am able to take pictures and record videos...why wont it let me. It told me to re-install it, so i did and again it wouldnt let me.....does anyone know the solution to this? Thankiees :]

Is it the default device for taking video /stills?Mine has a small screen that comes up and you control it from there.Basicaly I get a window and can see what the camera views and another window with all the settings,like record,volume ant the rest.you can try ,while your machine is on to pull it out of the usb socket and wait a few minutes then stick it back in.The found new harware should appear,that might help,P.

Place the software in the drive and stop it from loading then Go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager>Sound Video and Game Controllers you will find your Logitech camera there right click and update drivers. Which in effect will reinstall it either from D: or if there is a better driver on the net it will install it from there. If you still have a problem after that it's probably a hardware fault re the camera itself. In that case use your guarantee. Cheers.

Maybe you got wrong step installation. The correct is install the driver software first then plug your cam to your laptop. here is the solution; unplug your cam, uninstall the software driver then restart your laptop. after restart, install the software driver first then follow the instruction. in that instruction follow when you should plug your cam. thats it
