Gym membership advice ?

I recently hired a strength and conditioning coach to help me get in shape for an amateur boxing tournament and he accepts payments one of two ways, "pay as you go" or by package either way their the same price and buying a package doesn't save you any money. Should I by a package so that I'm covered for a certain amount of time without any question or should I pay as I go so that I can keep money in my pocket without dishing out more than I'm using.
