How to insert pictures to an e'mail?

I want to insert pictures within the message body of my outgoing email (not as an attachment). How do I do this?

I had tried this several times but once I insert the picture in the body of my email and send it, on receipt the picture is not viewable. But while composing my email I can see it!!!

I don't want to just forward an email I received which includes several pictures within the email itself. I only want to send a few of the pictures. I've saved the ones I want to send (they are jpgs), but can't figure out how to insert them.

once I've inserted them in my email, an icon is in their place. I used to be able to see my photos and rotate them when necessary. I can see my photos in all other applications and they have not been deleted from their file. Does anyone have any suggestions...

Do I have to share folders for every picture that I put in an email using Photo Mail Beta now? Can I go back to the old way of doing it?
