How do you delete the searches on web search?

every time i go to search for some thing all my old searches come up under my new searches. i what to delete them,and i don't what them popping up. how can i delete the history ...show more

when I put my cursor in the "Search" scroll bar and then just hit any letter of the alphabet, all prior searches appear that begin with the same first letter of the alphabet. How do u delete the name of the former searches?

I know you can delete the cookies, files and history, but i still can't get rid of all the stuff on my yahoo search bar, or for that matter stuff on the google search.

the pencil icon's "clear search history" does not affect that web search history.

not just my address bar.i can erase the address bar info but can not get rid of the info on the web search bar
