How do ships float?

How do airplanes and ships stay in the air/float?

How could these HUGE ships float when a simple rock cant?

you know those huge ships like boats float in like rivers and oceans? how do they not sink

how do ships float if there made of steal and metal and concrete.

I've always wondered how those giant metal ships float on top of the ocean.

Most of them are like 45,000 tons! Its amazing how they float in the water, something so heavy. How is this possible?

I have just been on a huge ship approx 109,000 gross tonage. How on earth does it float with all that weight?

I was wondering, and i always have, how can such a heavy thing be on water with out sinking, and some things that are light just goes down the water, please explaine to me, i've got a noob head so explain nice and understandble lol
