How do i put videos on my mp4?

i know how to put videos on my mp4 but i need to know where to put the videos cuz its not showing up on my mp4

I have been trying to put videos on my MP4. I use Cucusoft Youtube Mate. I convert the videos to avi or mp4 or mpeg format. I look on my MP4 i see but its says File Format Error. Can you help me? What should i convert it to?
